“For all students of animal and plant science who are inspired by nature, I think Sheffield being the ‘outdoor city’ is a perfect location for their studies. Having the Peak District on the doorstep is fantastic, it means that they can go out and study outdoors and bring that inspiration into the classroom.”
Gareth Fraser is a Lecturer of Evolutionary Developmental Biology in the Department of Animal and Plant Sciences at the University of Sheffield. He’s also a world-renowned expert on Sharks who has appeared on the Discovery Channel, BBC Radio and in numerous printed publications.

Specifically, Gareth focuses on sharks teeth, looking at how they regenerate and whether this process could be replicated in human teeth.
